Joshua Chigozie Ogbuefi (he/him)
Joshua is a Ph.D. student in the Physical Cultural Studies program at the University of Maryland School of Public Health, Department of Kinesiology. Before his studies at the University of Maryland, Joshua worked as an intern at the CDC Division of Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Obesity on a project focused on health equity and health communications. Later, Joshua worked as a Health Communications Fellow with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he initially supported the development, implementation, and evaluation of a national physical activity communications campaign. Joshua has an academic background in public health and health promotion and continues to pursue this discipline through research at the University of Maryland. More specifically, Joshua’s research interests lie at the intersection of public health and walkability within international contexts.
