Nyjel Green (he/him)
Nyjel Green earned his B.A. in Kinesiology from Morehouse College and M.S. in Exercise Science from Auburn University, working under Dr. Brown as a Research Assistant. His contributions included supporting the PAIR Grant, which focused on aging, vascular disease, and stress, through managing physiological tests, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conducting data analysis. He also examined the mental and physical health impacts of stress on Black undergraduate students through comprehensive assessments and physiological testing.
Nyjel’s research centers on developing prevention strategies for chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity in underrepresented communities. He aims to integrate physical activity into health initiatives to address disparities while focusing on the physiological factors driving these inequities. Additionally, Nyjel is deeply committed to student leadership development and program evaluation, with a focus on creating evidence-based public health solutions that promote equity and well-being.
